The report from the Aug. 16 Lampasas Cattle Auction follows.
Cattle and calves: Total cattle 416, compared to 511 last sale and 574 at this time last year.
Compared to last sale, feeder steers and heifers were $5-$7 higher. Slaughter cows were steady to $3 lower, and slaughter bulls were steady.
Feeder cattle accounted for 73%. Slaughter cows and bulls accounted for 27%.
