Lampasas County has reinstated its burn ban, effective Sept. 21.
The ban originally was lifted during a period of increased rainfall in the county.
Kempner also lifted its burn ban for a day but then followed the county’s lead in reinstating the ban.
Lampasas County still is experiencing severe drought conditions, according to the U.S. Drought Monitor.
