Central Texas entities posted significant gains in their monthly sales tax rebates this period. Seven of the 12 entities tracked by the Dispatch Record saw increases of 30% or more in May, while four cities notched gains between 20% and 21%.
The smallest sales tax increase among cities in the surrounding counties came from Evant, where the May payment was up 13%.
