The report from the Aug. 9 Lampasas Cattle Auction follows. Cattle and calves: Total cattle 511, compared to 540 last sale and 795 at this time last year. Compared to last sale, feeder steers and heifers were steady. Slaughter cows were steady to $2 lower, and slaughter bulls were $1-$3 lower.
