CTC Lampasas site director now located at LCHEC campus

Central Texas College Lampasas Site Director Janice Allen is shifting locations from Lampasas High School to the Lampasas County Higher Education Center.Allen will assist those in the community with academic advising, CTC class registration, GED or ESL courses and potential additional classes.

Lampasas Trails awarded $25,00 grant

Lampasas Trails, a nonprofit organization dedicated to building and maintaining bike trails, will be able to complete the first phase of a trail project, thanks to a $25,000 grant from the Lower Colorado River Authority and the city of Lampasas.

Lometa speech, debate teams compete well at state UIL meet

Lometa Speech and Debate students are continuing the school’s legacy of competing at a high level during the UIL state championships. Although no Hornet brought home an individual championship, the combined efforts of the team helped give Lometa third-place state speech team honors.

Students earn hardware at UIL state meet

Lampasas was well represented at the UIL State Academic meet, held in Austin May 13-15.UIL Academics Coordinator/Speech and Debate coach Judith McGhee said several students came home with medals from the competition.

Historic license plates reside at county tax assessor's office

From Alabama to Wyoming, license plates from all 50 states are available for viewing at the Lampasas County Tax Assessor-Collector’s office.The collection is unique, according to Tax Assessor-Collector Betty Salinas.
