Lampasas ’36 Club hosts Lighthouse Pregnancy Center

The January 2026 meeting of the ’36 Club highlighted the Lighthouse Pregnancy Center on South U.S. Highway 183 in Lampasas.The center coordinator was ill, so Robin England who is a member of the ’36 Club and sits on the Board of Directors for the pregnancy center, spoke on their behalf.

L-M members prepare for annual flower sales

Star Party scheduled for Saturday shifted to Feb. 7

Due to an incoming winter storm and cold, cloudy conditions expected on Saturday, the Lampasas Friends of the Night Sky Star Party planned for this weekend has been canceled.The Star Party has been rescheduled for Feb. 7 at 6 p.m. at Stoneledge Winery.

Local Boy Scout looks to develop bat boxes for Eagle Scout project

Bats could have a new home at the Sylvia Tucker Memorial Park in Kempner.At last week’s Kempner City Council meeting, Brennen Barber presented information about his Eagle Scout project that focuses on developing bat boxes within the city park.

LCSO welcomes new deputy

The Lampasas County Sheriff’s Office has a new deputy ready to serve.Faith Anderson, one of 26 recent graduates from Central Texas College’s Police Academy, officially stepped into her law enforcement career after months of training and preparation.
