When Jon Conway arrived in Turkey two days after the Feb. 6 earthquake rocked the country, the U.S. Army veteran was met with destruction unmatched in his previous experience.
With 23 years in the Army, two deployments to Iraq and experience in three war zones – including Ukraine – the Lampasas resident still was unable to describe what he saw in Turkey.
