Nonprofit helps animal shelter with feral cat population

Feral cat colonies can be a nuisance and health concern. One positive case of rabies in Lampasas County was reported within the last month and a half.
When rabies is found in a feral cat colony, the entire colony must be euthanized.
In February, the Lampasas Animal Shelter started working with a nonprofit and its Trap-Neuter-Release program called “Snip and Tips.”
