Kiley Moran of the Texas A&M Forest Service provided a program on fire-resistant landscaping Feb. 17 for the L-M Garden and Civic Club in Lometa.
Moran explained in detail the characteristics of both fireresistant plants and those that are not so fire-resistant. The goal of fire-resistant landscaping is to lower the intensity of a fire if it approaches one’s home.
