Joe Fred Flores, 53, of San Saba died Feb. 6, 2012, at a local nursing home.

Funeral services were Feb. 8, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in San Saba with Father Ramiro officiating. Burial was at San Saba Cemetery.

Mr. Flores was born May 23, 1958, the son of Adolfo Flores and Teckla Ramos.

Funeral services for Samuel “Sam” Flores, 44, of San Saba were Feb. 8, 2012, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in San Saba with Deacon Richard Menchaca officiating. Burial was at San Saba Cemetery.

Mr. Flores died Feb. 4 at his residence.

He was born Feb. 8, 1967, in San Saba, the son of Adolfo Flores and Teckla Ramos.

Mrs. Gillen

Bettye Sue Gillen, 87, died Jan. 28, 2012, in Conroe.

A memorial service was Feb. 1 at First Presbyterian Church of Conroe.

Mrs. Gillen was born Feb. 16, 1924, in Lampasas, to B.K. and Alma May.

She was a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church of Conroe where she served as an elder.

Mrs. Gillen enjoyed playing bridge, reading, travel and music.

Mrs. Kempsky

Funeral services for Lometa resident Ramona Kempsky, 49, were Feb. 8, 2012, at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel in San Saba, which has charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Kempsky died Feb. 4 at Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple.

She was born Dec. 27, 1962, in Fort Sill, Okla., to George and Hertha Chevalier.

Mr. Hurst

Graveside services for Namon Samuel Hurst, 83, of Goldthwaite were Feb. 7, 2012, at Townsend Cemetery at Adamsville with Richard Wolfe officiating.

Mr. Hurst died Feb. 5 at Hillview Manor Nursing Home.

He was born Jan. 30, 1929, in Coke County, the son of George Haskel and Lois Wolfe Hurst.

Mr. Whitehead

Weldon Leroy Whitehead, 73, of Stephenville died Feb. 5, 2012.

Funeral services were Feb. 7 at Lacy Funeral Home Chapel in Stephenville with Homer Anderson officiating, assisted by Buddy Payne. Burial was at Senterfitt Cemetery in Lometa.

Mr. Whitehead was born July 29, 1938, in Lometa, the son of David Leroy and Edna Ray Brooks Whitehead.

Mrs. Delgado

Funeral services for Ricarda R. Delgado, 70, of Lampasas were Feb. 7, 2012, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Burial was at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lampasas.

Mrs. Delgado died Feb. 2 in Temple.

She was born April 3, 1941, in Lometa, the daughter of Octaviano and Amelia Hernandez Ramirez.

She married Manuel Delgado, and he preceded her in death.
