Gerald Weber had a knack for creating the perfect sound with his Kendrick Amplifiers that have been used by star musicians like Eric Clapton and Willie Nelson. Weber, a Kempner resident, died April 17 at the age of 71 after a bout with cancer. His wife, Jill, and daughter Helen look to continue his tube amplifier legacy as co-owners of the Kendrick Amplifiers.

The Browning Community Garden Club will hold its annual flower show Saturday at the First Street Church of Christ Family Life Center in Lampasas. The show is free to the public and will be open from 2-4 p.m.

Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service and the San Saba County Pecan Growers Association will host the annual Pecan Field Day on Monday at the San Saba Civic Center, 1190 Thomas Stewart Dr. Registration will begin at 8 a.m., with the program to start at 9 a.m.

Lampasas ISD Nutrition Services will offer healthy, no-cost summer meals to children ages 18 and younger and enrolled students with disabilities up to 21 years old. The summer meal program kicks off at Hanna Springs Elementary School on May 21, with breakfast served from 7:30-9:30 a.m.
